Beer & Bread is a multi-use card game for two players. Its clever structure of alternating rounds puts a fascinating twist on player interaction, card drafting, and resource management.

Founded on the fruitful lands of an erstwhile monastery, two villages have held up the dual tradition of brewing beer and baking bread. While sharing fields and resources, they still find pride in their friendly rivalry of besting each other’s produce.

Each of you represents one of these villages. Over the course of six years - which alternate between fruitful and dry - you must harmonize your duties of harvesting and storing resources, producing beer and bread, selling them for coins and upgrading your facilities.

However, in order to win, you must maintain the balance between your baked and liquid goods. Because, after the sixth year, you only score the coins collected from the type of good - beer or bread - for which you earned less. The village with the higher score wins.

Fast but crunchy!

This two player game moves quickly but has scope for interesting decisions due to multi use cards & variable resources due to good / poor years.

Great Game!

After doing research online looking for good 2 player games, I came across recommendations for Beer & Bread. So I decided to try it. What a great little game, we love it. Highly recommend.

Fun 2 player only game where you collect resources

Beer and Bread is a fun 2 player only game where you draft cards and collect various resources (wheat, rye, hops, barley and water to either brew beer or bake bread. (You need to keep your amount of beer and bread roughly equal or else you will penalized in scoring. The art and components (little shaped wooden tokens) are lovely in this game. What makes this game interesting is that the cards are multiuse so you must decide what to use each card for and during the alternating 2 seasons (fruitful and dry) the number of resources changes and the rules for drafting slightly changes. It plays very smoothly. Recommend.

Great Game for what it is!

This game is a micro cooperative filler game. It a fun filler game that fits in a mint tin. The theme is nice with each character and villian having humorous names that plays 1-4 people. With the variety of superheros and villians in this game its replayability is limitless. The components are nice also, with wooden mints and characters, the cards may be a little flimsy but overall it's a very nice game to throw in your bag and play whenever you have a bit if downtime. The solo play works also, you just pick 3 of the 6 superheroes to play yourself. On sale for €4.48 now you can't go wrong!

The best rally car game ever

I love the mechanics of the game, the different race car categories and the infinite options of configuring different stages. I love it. It’s a wonderful addition to RallymanGT. The mechanics are different and innovative. Combining the 2 games in an RX race is a must. You won’t be disappointed.
