Overall I enjoyed this version better than SPLENDOR. I was disappointed that no X-MEN other than Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are in it. They should have called it Splendor Infinity Gauntlet. Don't call it Marvel if you can't represent the whole universe. That being said the artwork is fantastic and the components are high quality.
I saw an ad about the game and decided to buy it. Fun game and easy to play!
This game needs an insert so a bought the first one that became available.
I like the light foam core and don't mind glueing but it seems like the laser was not set square with the table as a lot of the pieces were cut on an angle which made some of the fittings kind of wonky.
All of the changes in LAMA Party Edition increase the number of interesting decisions to make in the game (vs standard LAMA), without significantly increasing the complexity. This is good stuff!
Thoses 3D models are excellent for the dune imperium game. However, they should have been included in the deluxe.
We took Sea Salt & Paper on an international trip (with a few other two-person games), and it quickly became our favorite. The game is compact and can be played on a small surface, and you can play a single short round or multiple rounds (accumulating points). The artwork is beautiful, and the gameplay is dynamic, especially with the "stop" vs "last chance" decision. Highly recommend!
After Cribbage, this game is my second favorite card based game.
While the supplies are basic, you could print and play your own, this game is worth the price and I'd gladly pay for it again.
I wanted an expansion which was hard to get and got it on the merger/hold acct. I really did not want anything else. Held my order for 5 months so I could muster 2 orders to get free shipping. very happy
This is a really great, fast, dueling cardgame. There are relatively few rules and terms (and so pretty easy to teach), but there are so many things you can do and deciding which way to go is rarely obvious. The addition of being able to take over an opponent's card twice per game adds an interesting and integral twist, and allows for fun cards which all seem ridiculously overpowered (but actually are only in the right context!). The art is goofy fun, and a welcome change from the typical fantasy.
They are nicer than having stickers over. Those stickers can be printed on your own for less but we all know about stickers on play boards.
the board i got was a bit dented on a corner but it's not a biiiig deal. could happen in shipping since the expansion boards are only shrink wrapped before being put in a shipping box.
The 2 modules in this expansion each add a nice overall objective to Dice Forge. Whether wending your way through the Goddess' Labyrinth or choosing sides during the Revolt of the Titans, I enjoyed having a primary objective that went beyond "complete feats to earn points."
Both modules add a fair amount of complexity to the game, though, so very young players may want to stick with the core game.
Nemesis is like a mix of Dead of Winter and Betrayal of the House on the Hill.
Good exploration aspect, a decent amount of coop yet not enough to blindly trust anyone. Multiple ways to achieve your goals.
If you like to play friendly theres usually an objective that is more friendly than others for you to choose from.
Lots of interesting mechanics. Crafting, special abilities,etc.
We ve played this game 3 times and still havent used the mechanics to their full potential. Each game we gp in with a different strategy on what to do; eg havent crafter anything yet, but last game got screwed by aliens, so thinking og going in guns blazing this time.
Also SUPER fun to play even after youve died.
Its complex and there is some explaining to do for newbies but is quite intuitive once you start playing. The complexity lies in the sheer number of opportunities the game presents to players as opposed to difficulty.
Very nice material. Quality feels good and I had no issue sleeving my cards. Will have to see if they hold up and if glare is an issue.
My girlfriend loves it so it gets played alot more than the war ones I want to play... but a wins a win!
It play's lightning fast, with a dead simple rule set that even grandma could easily pick up. Theres enough depth for gamers while being really accessible for non gamers. Only downside is that it's overproduced therfore a bit expensive for this type of game
