Excellent game. Resource management, bidding. Balanced by meta, as the “national factions” are asymmetrical in what their aims are in scoring cards. Light negotiation elements where you are trying to get others to “scratch your back and vice versa”.
Simple player turns/mechanics
Cons: be aware of end game scoring rules especially the flag and non flag tokens. Also military region is a bit difficult to conceptually understand but a couple play through a should clear it up.
It’s just a replacement set of cards. Not the alternate graphic set of cards. Photo would have helped.
Earth is such a great engine builder with nice pieces, and a great theme.
We really enjoy this game. It was fairly straightforward to learn and each play is different. The asymmetrical nature of the game adds to the experience, as each player must strive to achieve their own agenda. Difficulty of play can be adjusted through the choice of characters. Family friendly.
