If you are more interested in card drafting and cycling this may be the way to get into Everdell. Unlike the original building of resource engines in Farshore its more about hand management to get points. Events make a difference now and everyone can get them. It feels familiar but with a new play experience. Nice looking good quality carboard, easy to punch out. I don't like the all the resources as they feel small, especially the sea grass(weed). The metal anchors are nice though.
This is an entertaining game, with cute figurines.
The objectives range from easy to hard, which makes the game fair and challengeful.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed playing through the campaign within a week. Games are quick, and the legacy aspect allows for a lot of variation in objectives, tools, and layouts. Comes with a booster pack, with lots of additional sheets to continue playing after campaign is completed.
Thinking person's game - as you navigate how to connect power to different substations. Interesting and fun dice game mechanic. Very little player interaction as each competes to fill their board to gain most victory points.
